how to buyThis makes a superb display piece. Blade is early shinto period, mumei, osuriagi, 14 3/4 inches and in good old polish. All of the koshirae were recently expertly hand made by a master craftsman. The saya is wrapped in cane and finished with a polished clear lacquer. The fuchi/kashira, menuki, mekugi, koiguchi, kurikata and kojiri are all hand carved ivory and the handle is wrapped in first quality same'. The tsuba is elegant antique iron with a brass band running around the edge. Nice two piece shakudo habaki. Also comes with a hand made decorative sword bag and tasseled tie chord and a leather sageo in a beautifully woven knot around the saya..
